A {Gorgeous} Girl Scout Inspired Bridal Shower

“On my honor, I will try”… not to go completely crazy over this DARLING Girl Scout Inspired Bridal Shower from Beau & Arrow Events. Kate and Ellen, the masterminds behind this soiree, love to add a fun activity to the traditional bridal shower.

Some of our favorite memories growing up are from Girl Scout camp! We dreamed up this Girl Scout inspired fete with the hope that lots of brides would be inspired to do something adventurous for their own shower.

This is nothing short of adventurous… and glamorous. I adore the color palette used here in the mint and army greens and light pinks. And I am such a sucker for theme-related lingo carried throughout an event, so the Girl Scout lingo used here with “Always Be Prepared” and “Troop Madison” is perfection. (And yes, of course those are Samoas on that dessert table!)

{INSPIRATION} We love when brides do an activity that is a little unexpected for their bridal shower and wanted to showcase another fun idea. Some of our favorite memories growing up are from Girl Scout camp and Indian Princess camp outs! We dreamed up this Girl Scout inspired fete with the hope that lots of brides would be inspired to do something adventurous for their own shower. We added some glam touches to the Girl Scout feel a la Troop Beverly Hills, and toughed it up a bit with army elements for a sophisticated soiree. The gold and army colors balance out the girly jadeite green and pastel pinks used throughout.

{PAPER GOODS + ACTIVITY} The ladies at Posh Paperie did a superb job blending the inspiration into the paper elements. The information card on the invite read “Always Be Prepared” and told each guest to bring supplies for the bride’s wedding survival kit. We sprayed a lunchbox metallic gold and stuffed it full with everything she might need; lint roller, tissues, bobby pins, safety pins, compact mirror, breath mints, sewing kit, blotting tissues, deodorant, lotion, eye drops, band aids, static guard, and a stain remover pen. The front of the kit also read “Always Be Prepared”. Signs adorned the dessert and smore’s table which read, “Scout out Your Favorites” and “It’s Cookie Time!”

{SWEETS} Stevi from Hey! There Cupcake is amazing and can create anything you can imagine! She deisgned a playful and elegant cake for the shoot that had a trefoil pattern on one tier and a sash with metallic badges on the other. Cupcakes were embellished with mini crests describing the different flavors; Scout’s Honor Strawberry, Do Si- I Do!, and I love Smores! The mini smore cupcakes were divine!!

{DECOR} This custom luxe look is attainable through many diy projects. The glittery gold bunting behind the cake table is a simple project you can do with your girls. The canteens (originally camo print) as well as the lanterns were transformed with a couple coats of metallic gold spray paint. The Troop sign was also hand made- with help from some power tools and craft letters from Michael’s! Another element we loved incorporating was the vintage Girl Scout peraphinila. The Girl Scout handbooks that scattered the table and held up the centerpiece, as well as the official Girl Scout camera were great finds!
